Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Teachers think that's a sign of unreliability, so they hate it. Boom. Case closed. Or is it?

Anyways, the reason why they think it's unreliable is valid, anyone who has access to the website can change it. But vandalism is fought off quite effectively, and a lot of high-traffic pages have semi-protection. That doesn't mean those pages can't be vandalized, but it isn't vandalized often. Schools keep on blocking Wikipedia without even understanding that it's fine and mostly reliable. This issue keeps on going, and most of the time Wikipedia has more information than the online encyclopedias they force the students to use. It's almost like they are removing the good sources with a ton of information, and then forcing us to use websites with a big chunk of information not there. They are typically two to three paragraphs long and Wikipedia, there is a lot of information there. Then they do the same [Poop] when we try to ask them why we can't use Wikipedia. It's always "Wikipedia is so unreliable."
